Voujo, LLC (“we”) are serious about safeguarding your privacy. Many ways that this is manifested are detailed in our Terms and Conditions, as well as the various rules that govern use of Voujo. To further demonstrate this commitment, access to and use of Voujo are governed by this Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into the Terms and Conditions. This Policy will set forth the types of information we collect, how it may be used, and your rights with respect to such collection and such use. Please read this Policy closely, as your access to and use of Voujo signifies your acceptance of the Policy.

Information Collected

We may collect both information that is personally identifiable, such as your name and email address, and information that cannot personally identify you. We may collect this information through your use or access of Voujo or through our website or social media accounts. By such use and/or access, you are permitting us to collect, analyze, and retain that information.

If you register or sign into Voujo through Facebook or Twitter, you authorize us to access the information you have submitted to or that appears on your Facebook or Twitter account, consistent with your privacy settings and the permissions requested when you so register your account. In addition, we may collect and retain any personal information while using Voujo or in some other manner. This may include, but is not limited to, identifying information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and, if you engage in any business transaction through Voujo, your financial information. You may also provide us with photographs, a personal statement, information about your gender, and preferences regarding search parameters, including search by personality traits, age range, and gender. If you communicate with other Voujo members, you provide us and we may retain the content of such communications, and if you contact us through our website, social media accounts, or inside the mobile application, you provide us with the content of such communication as well.

We also utilize technology to automatically collect information from your browser or mobile device when you access or use Voujo or our website. This information could include your IP address, device identification and type, browser type and language, operating system, access times, and, if applicable, referring website.

When you access Voujo or our website, we may assign one or more cookies to your device or computer in order to facilitate your use of the same and to personalize your experience. Cookies are small data files that exist on your computer or mobile device, in communications we send to you, and on our website. Cookie types that we may utilize include processes, preferences, notifications, analytics, advertising, and authentication, security, and compliance cookies.

Through cookies, we may also automatically collect information about your activity on Voujo or the website, such as pages or screens you viewed, time and date of your visits, and any links you click. If we advertise, we or third parties may use certain data collected to show you advertisements on other sites or mobile applications.

We may also use other standard technology to track your use of Voujo or the website and to deliver or communicate with cookies. We may also use technology to determine if messages have been opened, deleted or otherwise acted upon. This information enables us to customize and personalize the services we offer, to deliver more targeted advertisements, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, content, programming, or other activities.

We may allow service providers, advertisers and ad networks, or others to display advertisements on our website or on Voujo. These companies may use tracking technology to collect information about members who view or interact with advertisements. We do not provide any non-anonymous, personal information to any third parties. Some of these advertising companies may be networks. If you wish to opt out of ad targeting, please do so by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative, Digital Advertising Alliance, Aperture, Omniture, and/or Privacy Choice, which offer locations to opt out of ad targeting from member companies. Opting out will not decrease the number of advertisements you will see.

How We Use Collected Information

We may use information that we collect about or from you to manage your membership and provide you customer service and support; to deliver and improve our services; to manage our business; to perform research and analysis of your use in our services and in others’ products, services, or content; to communicate with you about products or services that may be of interest to you; to develop or display or track content and advertisements tailored to your interests; to engage in website or mobile application analytics; to enforce or exercise any rights in our Terms and Conditions; and to perform any functions described to you at the time of collection.

We may perform these functions or we may use a third party to perform these functions on our behalf. In the event of the latter, such third party will be obligated to use the information only to perform the services for us. If you access Voujo through Facebook or Twitter, we may share non-personal information with Facebook or Twitter to the extent allowed by your agreement or privacy settings with Facebook or Twitter.

Sharing Collected Information

We may share the information we collect with certain third parties:

Advertisers. In addition to the above, we may share aggregate-type information with advertisers, such as how many Voujo members click on advertisements or have been exposed to advertisements. As noted above, this information is provided without personally identifying the members.

Service providers. Voujo outsources some technical and customer support functions. We may share information about you with these providers so that they can perform services or can adequately respond to your requests.

Legal compliance. Voujo may provide your information to law enforcement or other government agencies if compelled to do so by law by appropriate legal process served on us. We may also initiate our own investigations and disclose your information to appropriate authorities if we believe that a crime or statutory violation has been or may be committed. We may also share your information if such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or reputation, or to protect the safety and well being of our users or the public.

Use/Disclosure of Collected Information by Other Voujo Members

When you post personal information on your Voujo profile, or include it in exchanging messages with another Voujo member, we have no control over whether other members post or publicize such information outside of the mobile application. If you discover that another member has posted or publicized your personal information within the mobile application, please notify us through the “Contact” link found under the Menu icon that appears on every Voujo screen. We encourage you to read and understand our Safety Tips, which also can be found under the Menu icon, which Safety Tips you are required to follow.

Account Termination

If you or we terminate your account in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, we will remove your profile but may retain certain information for any purpose authorized herein, unless prohibited by law.

Children/Members Under 21

Voujo may only be used by persons 21 years and older. We will not knowingly collect any information from any person under this age threshold, including but not limited to minors. If you become aware that a Voujo member is younger than 21 years, please notify us immediately through the “Contact” link under the “Menu” icon that appears on every Voujo screen, and that member’s profile will be deleted and access to the mobile application terminated. If we discover without being notified that a member is younger than 21 years, we will unilaterally delete such person’s profile and terminate such person’s access to the mobile application.

Security of Your Information

We utilize our best efforts to safeguard the information or every Voujo member. No efforts, however, when dealing with transmission of information over the Internet or a mobile device, is 100% secure. We cannot, therefore, absolutely guarantee the security of anyone’s information.

Dispute Resolution

If you feel that Voujo has failed to adhere to our obligations under this Privacy Policy, you agree to notify us of the same in writing, detailing the acts or omissions you feel caused such failure, at the following address: Voujo, LLC, 5490 La Jolla Boulevard, Unit K210, La Jolla, CA 92037.


We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of this Privacy Policy can be found on our website or under the Menu icon that appears on every screen of the mobile application. Please refer to the date at the top of this Privacy Policy to determine when it was last revised. If we make material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify our members by in-app messaging or electronic mail, or by posting a Notice on our website prior to the effective date of the changes. If you continue to access and use Voujo following such effective date, you agree to such revisions.
